##### The most valuable asset you have #####
Do you know what an email address is worth?
According to Microsoft, over $120. Microsoft bought Hotmail for $400,000,000, and said
that they should have paid three times that. Hotmail was, for all practical purposes, just
a list of 10,000,000 email addresses. So Bill Gates thinks that, on the average, over
time, each of those 10,000,000 people will give him $120.
How much is an email address worth to you?
What if you emailed someone who became an SFI Member and made you $10,000 a month? It's
entirely possible that could happen.
The problem is that you don't know WHO that person is! So, the best thing you can do is
find a LOT of people to email and increase your odds that you're mailing to that person.
Given that, you should set a goal of creating an email mailing list of at least 1,000
people. If you want to think really big, set a goal of a 10,000 person list!
Then, mail to that list regularly, but not so much that they get bothered by you, maybe
every 3-4 weeks. Remember, it takes 5-7 impressions until someone recognizes or responds
to an ad.
What do you mail to them? Things they might like. Secrets to their success. Deals
you've found online. Websites you like. Ads for new SFI products. Stories of your success.

Your list will be people who aren't in SFI yet.
Where do you get names for your list?
The email that you get when you do an FFA Blast or use the Spider or TCC has names you
can mail to.
When you place an ad, if you include an email address or your autoresponder address,
you get names from the people who reply.
If you have an FFA page up from the script at www.downlineonline.com/ffa/ the people
who submit to your page leave their email address in a file called collect.txt.
If you have a website that people visit, you can give them something (like a special
report) in exchange for them giving you their email address.

What do I do with these names?
First, save them! I make a folder in my email program and I take all of the mail from
people I want to add to my list and put it in that folder.
Or copy the email addresses into a file that you save. (If you don't know how to copy
and paste text from one place into another, get yourself a copy of "Windows for
Dummies" and learn how -- I hope that doesn't sound insulting. It just happens that
you NEED to know how to do this and that's a great basic book.)
How do you mail to your list?
1) You can use your existing mailing software for the fast and easy approach. Just take
your list of names and copy them into the "BCC:" field of an outgoing email.
DO NOT copy them into the CC: field or everyone who you mail to will see the address of
everyone else you are mailing to!
If you don't see a "bcc:" field when you create an email, check the help or
manual for your email program. They all have it; sometimes you have to look for it.
The advantage of this method is that it's fast and easy. The disadvantage is that the
recipient gets email that DOES NOT have their name in the "To:" field. This lack
of personalization can make a big difference in the response you get.

Look at any ezines that cost money to advertise in. Pick a couple to try out... try
them out.

If you have an FFA page up, go to it and look at the ads. See if there's anything in
there that might help you promote your SFI site.
Do it!

Go to http://postmasterdirect.com and look at their service. Consider advertising to
their list.
