DAY 18
This is one of my favorite days.
Why?
I remember when I started Aikido. For weeks, when we started learning a new move, I
could never seem to figure out whether I was supposed to stand with my right foot forward
or my left foot forward.
I couldn't figure out whether I was supposed to start moving to the left or right.
I thought "Man! Am I uncoordinated! I'll never be able to do this!"
Then, about a month later, I REALIZED that I hadn't thought about which foot was
supposed to be in front, and that I had been doing it right without even thinking about
it!
I didn't notice WHEN I got it. But afterwards, I realized THAT I got it.
I'm sure you have a similar story from your life, when you learned a new sport, or
learned to play an instrument, or learned a new lannguage.
Well, guess what?
Think back to a few weeks ago when you signed up with SFI.
Think of something, even a little thing, that seemed difficult, or beyond your means,
or confusing that, NOW, is something you do pretty easily.
For some people, it's simply replying to email, or cutting and pasting text from one
program into another!
For others, it's signing up for a website.
For others, it's using a piece of software like FFA Blaster.
When you have moved from the "I can't do this" to the "I CAN do this
stage," I think that you're an "Apprentice Master."
An "Apprentice Master" is someone who has learned a new skill and can
reliably demonstrate it.
So, I like today, because today is when you get to become a full- fledged MASTER.
A MASTER is someone who can reliably TEACH what s/he has learned!

Have you been looking at the Ezines you subscribed to?
Often, an Ezine will have a feature article that's an opinion piece, or a how-to piece.
Do you know who the people are who write those?
They're just like you!
They're people who've learned SOMETHING and decided to share it!
That's it!
They're not some special something. They're not infinitely smart... trust me, I've met
a lot of these people.
The only thing they're doing that you're not is WRITING ABOUT what they've learned!
Now, the big question you may have is, "Why should I become a Master and write
about what I've learned?"
Because, you may also notice that the articles have a "by-line" with the name
and contact info of the writer.
Do you have any idea how many people contact the writers, the "experts" from
those articles?
TONS!
When people contact the writer's do you know what the writer does?
POINTS THEM TO HER OPPORTUNITY!
And, because of the "expert's credibility," MANY of those people will SIGN
UP!
Get it?
##### Today's ACTION Plan - EVERYONE #####
*** STEP 1 - Write ***
Write a short article about something you've learned about using Ezines to promote your
site, about writing a good headline, about why a system is the most important requirement
for success in Network Marketing (these are ALL good ideas!).
*** STEP 2 - Find a market ***
Many of the Ezines will tell you how to submit articles for publication. Do what they
say.
If you don't see instructions for submission, email the Ezine manager and ask if they
take outside articles. If they do, submit your article.
There are also websites that want new articles, new content. If you search for
home-business and MLM websites, you'll find some that do. Follow their submission
instructions or contact the webmaster like you did for Ezines.
Don't forget offline magazines! Nothing builds credibility faster than having your
words in ink on paper!
*** STEP 3 - Repeat ***
Who says you can only be published in one Ezine or one website or one magazine. Usually
nobody!
So, try to get the same article published in other places!
*** STEP 4 - Follow up ***
If it makes sense, use your SFI website in your by-line.
Either way, include your email address and phone number. And when people contact you,
simply point them to your SFI site!
*** STEP 5 - Follow up again ***
Remember to add these people to your mailing list so you can mail to them again, 2-3
weeks later.
The odds are HIGH that if you mail to them once a month, or so, some will sign up with
you each time you do a mailing.
*** STEP 6 - Enjoy yourself ***
It's nice to be a Master. Pat yourself on the back and have fun! Congratulate yourself
for having learned something new.
And, even better, for having learned something that's going to get you the FREEDOM
you've always wanted!
