DAY 2
Before we launch into today's lesson...
#### Thought for today - Why are we here? ####
Do you know why you're involved with SFI? Do you know why we put the SFI system
together?
If you answered "money" to either question, you're wrong. I'm not psychic,
but I know that money isn't the real reason any of us are doing this... even if you think
it is.
So why are we embarking on this journey together? Why have Gery and I spent countless
days and tens of thousands of dollars creating the SFI system?
FREEDOM
That's it. Freedom. This business is not about the SFI proudcts, or about websites, or
the internet, or residual income or a compensation plan. It's about FREEDOM.
There are two kinds of Freedom, Time Freedom and Financial Freedom. We want them both,
but some of us need one more than the other.
I know a lot of people who make a lot of money. A dear friend of mine became a
successful author in the last few years. When I saw her recently, she said, "I hate
being this successful. I never have time to see my kids anymore!" She has Financial
Freedom, but she doesn't have Time Freedom -- the Freedom to do what she wants, when she
wants it. If she had Time Freedom, she'd be at home with her children more, instead of
missing them as they grow up while she's away promoting her books.
What would you do, if you had unlimited time to do it?
That's one reason you and I are in this business. Creating Time Freedom.
Personally, there's nothing I like more than a good psycho- spiritual inquiry --
looking into ways to be happier, healthier, more whole -- and sharing that investigation
with others. I also have a fondness for beautiful places (I LOVE Thailand). And I have
dear friends who live all over the world, whom I don't get to see nearly enough. When I
have Time Freedom, I want to travel around the world learning from and sharing what I've
discovered with my friends and others.
Clearly, doing this will take some money, which brings us to the other reason we're in
this business, Financial Freedom. A moment ago, if you said you were in this business for
the money, ask yourself, "If I had the money, what would that give me?"
It's never the money that we want. It's what we can DO with the money. I've also got a
lot of artist friends who have all the time in the world, but since they're not making
money from their art, they can't do that which they love.
How much money does it take for Financial Freedom? That depends on you. But look at
what a big difference a small amount of money can make.
I know some people who could use just $40/month to pay for gas, so they can drive to
visit their aging parents more often.
If you have a mortgage on your house, did you know that an extra $100/month could pay
off your home in HALF the time and save you HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars in interest?!
Heck, if this business brought in $400/month, you could be driving a brand new
Cadillac!
What does Financial Freedom mean to you?
Isn't it true, that this FREEDOM is why we're here? Time Freedom and Financial Freedom.
Frankly, I don't know of another business that can provide both the way that this can.
With our SFI system it's VERY realistic that in a year or two you could be making more
money working 30 minutes a day than you are, right now, working 8 or more hours per day!
You could be making more in a month than you're making right now in a YEAR! You can have
the Money to do what you want, and the Time to enjoy it. That's why we're in this
business.
##### Today's Lesson - Leverage #####
So why don't we start creating some Time Freedom by "leveraging" time.
Leveraging time means that we get more done in the same amount of time.
In the online world, we do this by using automated tools, things that work so we don't
have to.
*** TRAINING TIP #1 - Send out THOUSANDS of ads, effortlessly ***
Do you know anyone else who wants the kind of Freedom we're talking about? Of course
you do.
Do you think there are other people who want it, without you knowing that they do? Of
course there are.
Why don't you tell them about it, effortlessly.
You can include a mention of this Freedom with every piece of email you send out. If
you're like me, that's THOUSANDS of pieces of email a year (actually, if you're like me,
that's TENS of thousands).
At the bottom of every email you send, you can include something like:
"If you want Freedom - the money to do what you want and the time to enjoy it -
click here --> mailto:freedom@downlineonline.com"
or...
"Turn 30 minutes a day at your computer into $3,000 a month. Go to
http://sixfigureincome.com/free/?your-ID#"
If you're thinking "Geez, that's a lot to type at the end of every email,"
you forgot that this lesson is about leverage.
Whatever program you use to send and receive email -- whether it's AOL's email proram,
or Eudora, or Netscape, or Outlook, or whatever -- let's you create a "signature
file" or "sig file."
A sig file is something that you type in once and that your email program automatically
puts it at the bottom of your email.
Trust me, with a good sig file, someone is going to notice it, resonate with it, and
respond to it! Remember, it takes 5-7 exposures until people respond to an ad.
NOTE: Keep your sig files short and sweet - less than 60 characters per line and 3 or 4
lines, tops.
*** TRAINING TIP #2 - Respond to people when you're not around ***
If you used something like that first sig file, and someone emailed you, would you want
to write back to them and tell them how they could use the SFI system to get the Freedom
they've always wanted? Sure you would.
But what if you got 10, or 20 or 1,000 requests. Responding to each one would get old,
fast!
There are two great time-leveraging solutions for this situation.
First, you can type up something SHORT and sweet in your word processor that talks
about Freedom and how SFI is designed to help create that. Then, when someone asks about
what you're doing, you open that file, copy the text into your reply email, personalize it
a bit, and send it out. (Some email software lets you do this - - in Eudora, you create
"Stationery")
Or you can take that same thing you've written and have it sent out automatically, as
soon as someone asks for it, by using an "autoresponder."
An autoresponder is a computer program with an email address. The easiest way to
understand how an autoresponder works is to send a piece of email to
mailto:autorespond@6fi.zzn.com.
If you're not sure about how autoresponders work, send that email now.
Then, count to 30 and check your email. If the Internet isn't bogged down, you have a
reply from me! And, trust me, I wasn't waiting for you to send the email.
What happens is that the autoresponder at that address gets your email and instantly
sends back the text that I've told it to respond with. It also takes the email you sent
and forwards it to me, so I know who accessed my autoresponder.
How do you use this autoresponder? In your advertising, instead of asking people to
reply to your PERSONAL email address, ask people to reply to your autoresponder!
I'm sure you can see the potential in being able to tell people about... anything... 24
hours a day, 7 days a week, rain or shine, without any work whatsoever.
Granted, an autoresponder isn't as personal as the first option, but since the
autoresponder is also forwarding the incoming email to me, I can follow up with a more
personal touch, if necessary.
*** TRAINING TIP #3 - Making your hard work pay off, simply ***
If you have a website that people visit, or if you have a list of friends or business
contacts that you can email, take advantage of the work you've already put into building
that site or compiling that list.
I'll tell you how in a moment.

found a great FREE web host (a place where they have computers on which you store a
website). All you have to do is ad one line of HTML code to the bottom of your web pages
and the site is free!

how to set up your sig file.

(that then points to your SFI website).
*** OPTION 3 - Set up a free autoresponder ***
Go to http://www.myreply.com or http://www.freeautobot.com or http://getresponse.com
and sign up for a free autoresponder.
Or, you can got to http://6fi.zzn.com and set up a free email account that you can set
up as a "virtual autoresponder."
Why use 6fi.zzn.com? Because many people think that ANYTHING from myreply.com or
getresponse.com or smartbotpro.com is an ad, and ignore it. And because autoresponders
from these services contain ads for OTHER things... you wouldn't want someone to get YOUR
ad, but respond to SOMEONE else's, would you?
It'll take about a day to get account confirmation from these services, so we'll come
back to actually set up your autoresponder later.
*** OPTION 4 - Got a website? Do this NOW! ***
If you have your own website (other than your SFI website), add one or more of the SFI
banners to your site!
